The Hubcaps

The Hubcaps have been livening up parties, dances, weddings, and other events in St. George and Southern Utah since 2001. Their repertoire covers over 800 songs ranging from classic rock and roll favorites, like Elvis, the Beatles, Beach Boys, and the Eagles, to more modern artists, like OneRepublic and Neon Trees. They have also had fun playing tunes from the Big Band Era with music from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra. If you have a high school class reunion, the Hubcaps will compose a playlist to match the music you remember from those good old days. If you prefer a small acoustic set for background music, the Hubcaps can accommodate for this as well. The Hubcaps just love music, love people, and love to have fun! The band consists of Gary Ford, Kent Sevy, Brant Jones, and Marc Burgess.

Gary Ford (vocals and guitar) organizes the set lists with a great handle on the top classic songs of the last 70 years. Through high school and college he played with the Wingnuts in Utah Valley (1988-1994). His knowledge and love of groups from the 1940s to the 2010s is evident in the vast song list (over 900 songs and adding).

Kent Sevy has played since he was 14 in rock groups and was recently nominated to the Las Vegas Rock Hall of Fame. Kent has played keyboard over the years, opening for major acts in Las Vegas and St. George.  He plays all genres and is also a vocalist for the group.  Kent’s family was voted “Musicians of the Year” by St. George Magazine.

Brant Jones, whose trademark is electric drum set, has also opened up for major groups and is the backbone of the Hubcaps. He comes from a musical family and has performed extensively. He has been with the Hubcaps since 2006 and also plays drums with this son's country band, the Dillon Jones Band.

Marc Burgess started playing guitar at age 13. He borrowed an Epiphone 335, a Randall half stack and a few pedals from his brother and ignited a passion that would outlast any other hobby. He started a high school band in the mid 90’s and was playing Boston, Metallica and Def Leppard while everyone else slipped into the Seattle grunge scene. Recently he traded in his 6 string for the bass and now loves and lives in the low end, playing the  bass for the Hubcaps since 2019.
